About NAHC’s Annual Conference

Each year, NAHC’s Annual Conference brings together your peers, colleagues and industry experts in cooperative housing to discuss issues and learn how to strengthen cooperative housing in the United States. Over 400 attendees participate in our conference each year to learn, network and celebrate cooperative housing.

Who Attends

  • Cooperative Volunteer Board Members
  • Professional Cooperative Managers
  • Industry Professionals such as lawyers, CPAs and leaders who service the housing cooperative community.

The 2017 Annual Conference will be held in San Antonio, TX at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel October 25-28, 2017. Registration will open in June 2017. More information about the 2017 conference is available here.

>>Run for a seat on the NAHC Board of Directors

Positions up for election will be voted in October immediately prior to the start of the Saturday Morning Annual Meeting of Members.  The NAHC Board positions are naturally expiring three-year terms. Elections will take place prior to the start of the Annual Meeting of Members at the Annual Conference.Voting will take place from 8:30 am and close promptly at 9:30 am. If you joined as a member through your regional Member Association, the Member Association votes on your behalf. Be sure to attend the Member Association Caucuses on Friday evening to hear for whom your Member Association will cast their ballot.

Interested in running for a seat on the NAHC Board of Directors? Read the guidelines and review the Board Candidacy Packet, then submit it to the NAHC registration desk no later than Thursday at 5:00 pm at the Annual Conference.

In accordance with NAHC’s Bylaws, the Credentials Committee has certified the current active Membership List as the voting strength at the Annual Meeting of Members. A certified 2017 NAHC Membership Report will be posted here.

2016 Annual Conference

The 2016 Annual Conference, “Roll Away Your Cooperative’s Dicey Issues”,” drew nearly 400 people from across the U.S. to Las Vegas to discuss issues and learn about trends and best practices. Attendees participated in workshops on a variety of topics such as: Financial Considerations for Cooperatives, Cooperative Planning and Marketing, Legal, Legislative and Governance Issues, Improving Operations and RCM Certification – where 16 newly certified RCM’s earned their certification and 10 renewed the certification!

2015 Annual Conference

The 2015 Annual Conference, “Follow the Guiding Light to Your Cooperative’s Future,” drew over 400 people from across the U.S. to Hilton Head Island to discuss issues and learn about trends and best practices. Attendees participated in workshops on a variety of topics such as: Financial Considerations for Cooperatives, Cooperative Planning and Marketing, Legal, Legislative and Governance Issues, Improving Operations and RCM Certification – where 7 new people earned the RCM certification and 21 renewed their certification!

The 2014 Annual Conference, “Ride the Wave to your Cooperative’s Paradise,” drew over 400 people from across the U.S. to the Virgin Islands to discuss issues and learn about trends and best practices. Attendees participated in workshops on a variety of topics such as: Financial Considerations for Cooperatives, Cooperative Planning and Marketing, Legal, Legislative and Governance Issues, Improving Operations and RCM Certification – where 7 new people earned the RCM certification and 21 renewed their certification!

The 2013 annual conference, “Cooperative Housing Threads the Needle of Change,” drew nearly 400 people from across the U.S. to Seattle to discuss issues and learn about trends and best practices. Attendees participated in workshops on a variety of topics such as: Financial Considerations for Cooperatives, Cooperative Planning and Marketing, Legal, Legislative and Governance Issues, Improving Operations and RCM Certification – where 19 people earned the RCM certification.

2013 Program

More than 20 presentations at the 2013 Annual Conference provided attendees with best practices on subjects ranging from communications and consensus decision making to leadership, litigation and lobbying to help cooperative housing managers and members, manage and market their cooperatives effectively.
