2025 NAHC Annual Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Membership Meeting for the Election of Directors shall be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
The purpose of the 2025 Annual Meeting shall be to elect six (6) persons to positions on the NAHC Board of Directors. Five (5) positions are naturally expiring three-year terms and the sixth is a replacement term to complete the final two years of a previous Board Member’s three-year elected term.
The Annual Meeting shall be held in person at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront in Savannah, Georgia.

To be eligible for election, a candidate must be an active member representing a housing cooperative that is either a Direct Member or a member through an Association Member, be an Individual Member, or a designated representative of a member firm or organization. Candidates do not need to be present at the Annual Meeting to run for a seat on the Board of Directors. If the candidate is not going to be present, then a person representing his or her candidacy must be designated.
If you are considering becoming a candidate for a seat on the NAHC Board of Directors, and you plan to be in Savannah, GA and attend the NAHC Annual Meeting in person, onsite packets should be submitted to the NAHC staff by Thursday, October 23, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. If you are interested in running for a seat on the NAHC Board of Directors but will not be in Savannah, GA to attend the in-person board meeting, this is a notice to submit your digital candidacy packet electronically by Friday, October 10 by 12:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time to info@nahc.coop. We encourage all Members (Associations, Individuals, and Professionals) to participate in this year’s Annual Meeting of Members. Please be aware that most cooperatives are members of NAHC through a Regional Member Association, such as MAHC, CAHC, CSI, CHANE, PAHC, NJFHC, etc., and DO NOT hold a vote separately from the vote cast by the “Regional” Association Member. If you are not certain if your membership in NAHC was processed by your Regional Association Member, please contact either your Regional Association or Paul Doggett, NAHC’s Executive Director.
Voting at the Annual Meeting is only by 1) Regional Association Member; or 2) Direct Members of NAHC Cooperatives, Individuals, and Professional members who pay their dues directly to NAHC.
Regional Associations Members will hold caucuses in designated rooms to determine how the Regional Association Members will cast their ballots for the open Board positions.
Cooperatives represented through their Regional Association can NOT pull their votes out of the Regional Association votes unless they join NAHC as a Direct Member the following year.
Election Volunteers: The NAHC Board of Directors requests that two members attending the Annual Conference volunteer to serve on the Credentials Committee to assist with tallying the votes. Please visit the NAHC registration booth to learn how you can volunteer!
