TRAVEL

The Westin Riverwalk is serviced by San Antonio International Airport (SAT) which is located approximately 25 minutes from the hotel.

Taxis/Ubers: Taxis cost approximately $35.00 – $40.00 one way and Ubers cost approximately $20.00 – $25.00 one way from the airport to the hotel and can be picked up outside of baggage claim at the lower level curbside. Just follow signs. Unfortunately at this time there is no airport shuttle service available.

HOTEL INFORMATION/INTERNET

The Standard Access Internet fee in the guest rooms has been waived for NAHC attendees who made reservations under the NAHC room block. To access the complimentary standard internet, click on Westin Guest, select standard internet, enter last name and room and you will be granted complimentary standard internet access

Hotel check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and hotel check-out is at 12:00 p.m. When you check into the hotel the front desk agent will ask for method of payment for your guest room charges as well as an authorization for incidentals. The hotel will authorize your credit card for the total amount of your stay (which is your guest room rate times the number of nights) and an additional 40% (16.75% is for taxes, the remainder is for incidentals). When you check out of the hotel the additional authorization for incidentals will be released back to your card, this may take 7-15 days depending on your financial institution. Please be reminded that if you utilize a debit card the dollar amount authorized will be held immediately. If you have any questions regarding the hotel policy please contact the Westin Riverwalk directly at 210/224-6500.

Breakfast is on your own during the conference. The hotel’s restaurant Zocca serves breakfast from 6:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. In addition to the restaurant the hotel will be offering a breakfast concession stand in the Navarro Prefunction on the Ballroom level. The concession stand will offer bottled juices, soft drinks, coffee, and pastries for purchase. Both cash and credit cards are accepted. The concession stand will be open on the following days.

REGISTRATION

Registration for the conference will take place in the Navarro Prefunction located on the Ballroom level of the Westin Riverwalk. Registration hours are as follows:

Thursday, October 26 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday, October 27 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Please check in at the registration desk before attending any optional tours or educational sessions. Badges and tickets are required for admittance to the tours, reception, lunches and sessions.

NAHC’s Conference Web App offers quick access to information both during and after the conference. This web app makes it easy to navigate agenda items; build your personal schedule; get to know NAHC 2017 Conference speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and more.

OPENING RECEPTION

This year NAHC will have a Tex-Mex Style theme at the Opening Reception on Wednesday, October 25th from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. located in Navarro Ballroom on the ballroom level of the hotel.

Come enjoy some light reception style food, cash bar and music.

TICKETS & TOURS

Tickets for the Opening Reception, Strut Your Stuff: Cooperative Pride Luncheon, the Awards Luncheon as well as the optional tours that you registered for will be included in you registration packet. They are required for admittance to those events. There are limited tickets left to purchase for the tours; visit the NAHC registration desk to check on availability.

DRESS

Dress for the conference is causal attire. Remember to display your cooperative’s pride by wearing your logo’d apparel during the Strut Your Stuff: Cooperative Pride Luncheon on Thursday afternoon.

TEMPERATURE

The temperature in San Antonio, TX is expected to be in the high 70s F to low 80s F to during the day and in the high 50’s F to low 60’s F in the evenings. All tours will take place, rain or shine so if you are signed up for any tours, you may want to bring an umbrella.
