Instructions for the 2020 Annual Meeting, Election of Directors, and proposed amendments to the NAHC Bylaws.

Registering for the Annual Meeting, Election of Directors, and consideration of Bylaws Amendments:

All Members attending the Annual Meeting, voting for your Candidate(s) of choice for the open positions on the NAHC Board of Directors, and voting on the proposed amendments to the NAHC Bylaws must pre-register for both the NAHC meeting itself, as well as with Election Buddy, our 3rd party election tabulation vendor.

Voting will be done electronically during the meeting, but all voting members must pre-register for the NAHC Annual Meeting and with Election Buddy. Please see the two separate Registration Forms, BOTH of which need to be completed and received electronically by Bostrom no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Friday, October 30, 2020. Electronic registrations are to be emailed to Executive Director, Mik Bauer at Bostrom by using the following email address mbauer@nahc.coop.


Your must be pre-registered to attend the Annual Meeting on Zoom on Nov 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada) and cast your ballot.

After pre-registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting, view the proposed bylaw amendments and meet the candidates.


Voting Details

Voting at the annual meeting will be done electronically using the online platform with ElectionBuddy’s registration system. This way we have we know who is voting on behalf of each member.

Other than the Election of Directors, the Annual Meeting will vote on modified amendments to the NAHC Bylaws. We encourage you to please view and review the proposed Bylaw Amendments before voting.

  

Candidates Running for the Board of Directors:

Members seeking election to the NAHC Board of Directors must pre-announce, and pre-qualify, to be a qualified candidate for election. In consideration of the imposed restrictions and safe practices that must be implemented due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus, candidates will not be required to submit the customary Candidate’s Endorsement Petition page of the Candidates Package (specifically and solely page 4 of 11), rather each viable candidate must electronically submit to the Credentials Committee the balance of all pages of the Candidate’s Package along with three (3) letters of reference supporting your candidacy. Supporting letters of candidacy must be authored either by a Board Member of your hometown cooperative, a Board Member of your Regional Association Member, a professional peer who is also a member of NAHC, or any combination thereof.

All Candidate Packages Supporting letters are to be submitted to Ms. Donna Curvin, Chair of the Credentials Committee, at curvindonna27@gmail.com. All Candidate Packages must be received electronically no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Friday, October 30, 2020.
